Being born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, I traveled extensively throughout the southwest as a child. My hearts desire was to live in the four-corner region. Upon completion of my studies at the University of Arizona, I worked at the PBS affiliate television station. I left this position to take on a marketing position with the Mexican Government Tourism Department located in Mexico City. During my years affiliated with Mexico, I used my bilingual ability and traveled extensively throughout Mexico and the U.S. My job was “to sell” Mexico.
When the peso devalued in the 80′s, many of our national and international offices closed and I found myself working with Principal Financial Group. My 20+ years in Insurance helped me to understand that no two people are alike and that it is each individual’s needs and wants that is important. I retired from my Insurance career to stay home with the children. My husband has worked with the same company for over 22 years, which is a full service Corporate Theatre Company providing logistics, lighting, sound, scenic and technical support for Fortune 500 companies doing venues both nationally and internationally.
We came to Pagosa Springs in the summer of 2000 for a vacation and fell in love with the small town charm, majestic scenery and the wonderful opportunity given us to live and raise our young children here. I was offered and accepted a teaching position at the Lutheran School our first year here in Pagosa. I then decided to home-school both our daughters through Jr. High. We were involved with the PACE (Pagosa Area Christian Education) group. We also have been a very active 4-H family. My girls have been in numerous 4-H projects and related youth leadership develop programs and camps. They both have excelled in sports, academics and extracurricular activities in school as well as in the community. Our eldest has just completed her first year at the University of Arizona in the Fine Arts College. Our youngest will be a freshman at the high school this coming fall and is involved in school activities and sports.
Pagosa has offered our family skiing, snow activities, rafting, tubing, fishing, golf, hiking, walking, gardening, photography, camping, and non-stop scenery. Pagosa has been a blessing to our family in so many countless ways. Let me work with you and help you find and discover your perfect place here in Pagosa Land.
